luxury campaign
Client: Schonbek
This campaign challenged me to go beyond traditional product photography. Starting with stock imagery, I transformed each piece into a lifestyle scene worthy of Schonbek's luxury brand, using compositing, lighting enhancements, and digital manipulation to create imagery that felt aspirational, authentic, and story-driven.

Lighting the Experience
Designing for a luxury brand requires more than showcasing the product. Every surrounding element must reinforce the same level of craftsmanship, exclusivity, and refinement that defines the brand itself. When a lighting fixture is a handcrafted work of art, the environment can no longer serve as a backdrop. It becomes part of the story.
For the Beyond collection, every composition was approached with a single question:
Would this environment feel worthy of the product?
Crafting the Environment
Every design decision was guided by the same principle: the environment should elevate the product, never compete with it.
The bright daytime interior was transformed into a sophisticated evening residence where the fixture naturally became the focal point of the space. Architectural elements, finishes, and lighting were refined to create a richer visual hierarchy, while the exterior was reimagined as a dramatic city skyline that better reflected the exclusivity of the Beyond brand.
Every reflection, shadow, and source of illumination was carefully reconstructed to ensure the fixture didn't simply exist within the room, but defined the atmosphere around it.

Architectural Potential
The original image offered a strong architectural foundation, but the environment lacked the sense of exclusivity expected of a luxury lighting collection. While the composition provided an excellent starting point, the architecture and atmosphere needed to evolve into a setting capable of complementing the sophistication of the product itself.

Rather than treating the stock image as a finished scene, it became the framework for creating a completely new visual experience.

The Art of Atmosphere
The architecture was expanded through perspective-matched compositing to support additional fixtures while maintaining the integrity of the original structure.
The surrounding environment was reimagined through cinematic color grading, architectural lighting, realistic reflections, and carefully controlled light spill so every surface responded naturally to the illumination.

Rather than placing products within a scene, the goal was to create an environment where architecture, atmosphere, and lighting worked together to reinforce the luxury experience the brand represents.
