Packaging Design
Client: Chapter One Coffee & Tea
As Chapter One Coffee & Tea expanded into packaged retail products, they needed a visual system that could extend their brand beyond the café environment. I developed packaging for their handcrafted syrup line and canned cold brew series, creating a cohesive design approach that works across multiple flavors and product types.

Building the Brand
The cold brew can became an opportunity to translate Chapter One’s established identity into a new product format. Bold illustration, a limited color palette, and clear typography create packaging that feels distinctive while remaining connected to the café’s existing visual language.

Designed to work both on its own and as part of the larger brand experience, the can balances personality with the practical information needed for a retail product.

Expanding the Collection
The packaging system extended beyond ready-to-drink coffee to a collection of flavored syrups, requiring a visual approach that could accommodate multiple products while maintaining consistency across the line. A shared layout, typography system, and graphic language create cohesion, while individual flavor treatments make each bottle easy to distinguish. Together, the labels establish a flexible system that can grow alongside the product offering.

From Design to Shelf
Packaging ultimately has to work beyond the screen. The finished can demonstrates how the graphic system translates onto a physical product, where scale, curvature, color, and hierarchy change the way the design is experienced.
The final packaging maintains its visual impact when held, displayed, or viewed from different angles, carrying the Chapter One identity from the café into a tangible product customers can take with them.
